The Story of Our Holiday Playbook
Lexi Bell returns home for Christmas and finds herself facing a family tradition she would rather avoid. Every year, her father and uncle compete in the Bell Bowl, a Christmas flag football game that has caused a lot of friendly rivalry between the two brothers for many years.
This year, Lexi’s family may lose again because her brother-in-law gets injured and cannot play. Wanting to help her family win, Lexi makes a deal with Eddie, a former local football star who is now a teacher.
Lexi agrees to use her baking skills to help Eddie beat his brother in their yearly Christmas baking competition. In return, Eddie agrees to pretend to be Lexi’s boyfriend so he can meet the family’s rules and play in the football game.
As Lexi and Eddie spend time together at family parties and Christmas celebrations, their fake relationship slowly starts to feel real. They begin to develop true feelings for each other.
While their families compete for the Bell Bowl trophy, Lexi and Eddie discover that they may have already found something more important love.
