Marla Sokoloff is an American actress, born on December 19, 1980, in San Francisco, California. Her full name is Marla Lynne Sokoloff. She grew up in San Francisco and moved to Los Angeles in 1994. There, she joined the Los Angeles County High School of the Arts to study theater and music.

She has won many awards for singing the national anthem at big events, like Oakland A’s baseball games and for the USO. After moving to Los Angeles, she got roles in popular TV shows such as “Party of Five” in 1994, “Home Improvement” in 1991, “3rd Rock from the Sun” in 1996, and “7th Heaven” in 1996.

She also acted in movies like “Whatever It Takes” in 2000, “The Baby-Sitters Club” in 1995, and “True Crime” in 1995.

Marla Sokoloff was born to Howard Sokoloff and Cindy Sussman. Her father Howard was a former caterer and podiatrist. She has a Jewish family who had their origin from Germany and Russia.

She has been dating the actor James Franco and it happened after they met on the set of Whatever it Takes in 1997.

In the year 2004, she started dating Deadsy drummer Alec Puro and she got married on November 7, 2009 and were blessed with three daughters, Elliotte Anne in the February 2012, Olive Mae in March 2015 and Harper Bea her last child was born on February 2022.

Marla Sokoloff’s Success and Career

Marla Sokoloff started her acting career in the year 1993 and she started it with the cast of ABC sitcom Full House as Gia Mahan. She was about to play in the ABC’s Boy Meets World series as  Topanga Lawrence who was the girlfriend of the lead role and due to some reasons, it was given to Danielle Fishel.  The Practice, a legal television drama series had her as Lucy Hatcher in the year of 1998.
