Katherine Barrell is an actress, director, writer, and producer. She is well-known for her role as Nicole Haught in the horror television series Wynonna Earp.

Barrell has acted in three Hallmark movies and one series. Her first Hallmark movie was A Nutcracker Christmas in 2016. She played the role of Beth.

The story is about a little girl who is cast in the Philadelphia Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker. Her aunt, an ex-ballerina is forced to come to terms with life and the love life she had left behind.

In 2021, she appeared in the movie A Godwink Christmas: Miracle of Love. She played the role of Joy Fickett. The story is about Eric and Joy, who are brought together by community service at Christmas.

Barrell was born on February 12, 1990, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Her mother is Slovenian. She attended Assumption Catholic Secondary School in Burlington, Ontario.

During her time at school, she played lead roles in two school plays. She also collaborated with a friend on a play they wrote, directed, and acted in together. Additionally, she directed the school play “The Wizard of Oz.” Barrell was also a member of Burlington Student Theatre for two years.

After school, she studied musical theatre at Sheridan College. She was then transferred to George Brown College where she studied filmmaking.

Barrell studied acting at the School of Media & Performing Arts, where she graduated in 2010. She also trained at The Groundings Comedy School.

In 2017, she married a Canadian actor Ray Galletti. The couple together has a son born on September 8, 2021.

She started her acting career with the film Queen of Clubs. She played the role of Joker and was also the film’s writer. Some of her other movies include Lost and Found, The Ties Between Us, Issues, The Scarehouse, Canadian Star, My Ex-Ex, and Definition of Fear.

Barrell has also appeared in television series like Lost Girl, Murdoch Mysteries, Off 2 Kail Comedy, Reign, The Listener, Saving Hope, Wynonna Earp, Workin’ Moms, Star Trek: Discovery, Private Eyes, and Good Witch.

In 2022, she appeared in the movie Cabin Connection. She played the role of Hannah Monroe, a lifestyle writer who inherited her late grandmother’s cabin

She hires her widowed neighbour, handyman Cole to get the cabin in shape to sell. As Hannah and Cole spend time together, they fall in love.
