Sarah Lancaster was born on February 12, 1980, in Overland Park, Kansas. She grew up with her younger brother, Daniel Lancaster. Her father Michael Lancaster, worked in real estate, while her mother Barbara Lancaster, was a homemaker. When Sarah was young, her family moved to Mission Viejo, California, where she became interested in acting.

Sarah began taking acting classes after moving to Southern California. While working on Saved by the Bell: The New Class, she was tutored on the set. She also took college courses at the University of California, Irvine, to help complete high school sooner.

Career, Struggle, Turning Point, and Success

Sarah started her professional acting career as a teenager. Her first major television role came in 1993 when she was cast as Rachel Meyers in Saved by the Bell: The New Class.

She later appeared in shows such as Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, Boston Public, That ’70s Show, Scrubs, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. She also appeared in the film Catch Me If You Can, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks.

Sarah gained further attention as Madison Kellner on Everwood. She then starred in Dr. Vegas and What About Brian. In 2007, she joined Chuck as Ellie Bartowski, the sister of the main character. The role became one of the most recognizable performances of her career.

She has also worked in television movies, including Hallmark’s Fir Crazy and ’Tis the Season for Love. In 2019, she made her directorial debut with Josie & Jack.
