Scott Michael Foster is an American actor. He is best recognised for his performances as Nathaniel Plimpton III in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and as Captain John Paul (Cappie) Jones in the ABC Family drama-comedy series Greek. Foster has also appeared in repeat episodes of the TV shows Californication, Halt and Catch Fire, Once Once a Time and You.

Hallmark Channel hired Scott Michael Foster for the movie In the Key of Love in 2019. Which was his first Hallmark movie, where he worked with a popular Hallmark actress Laura Osnes. His role as Jake was praised by audiences.

Scott Michael Foster Early Life

He was born on March 4, 1985. At Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois, Foster was born. Two sisters are his. Later on, he relocated to Highland Village, Texas, a Dallas suburb, where he developed an interest in acting as early as elementary school.

Education

He attended Briarhill Middle School and Edward S. Marcus High School, where he participated in theatre until he received his diploma in 2003. He spent one semester studying acting at Collin College, but quickly dropped out to pursue a career in performing professionally.

He sings lead for his indie rock band, Siren’s Eye, and plays guitar in it. On December 15th, 2009, they published Red Room, the first EP from their catalogue, on iTunes.

Before winning the regular part in the ABC Family comedy-drama series Greek, Foster made an appearance in the short independent film The Terrible Flowers. Foster also played the lead in the independent movie Teenage Dirtbag when he was on Greece.

Later, he had appearances as a guest star on Parenthood, Melissa & Joey, Friends with Benefits, The Closer, and Law & Order: LA. In 2012 he had appeared in fifth season of comedy drama series Californication and The River.

In 2013 he was casted in ABC series Zero Hour, then in 2014 he had recurring role in Halt and Catch Fire, Chasing Life and in Once Upon a Time. With Don Johnson and Amber Valletta, Foster debuted in the ABC primetime television serial opera Blood & Oil in 2015.

He was named as one of Variety’s “10 Actors to Watch” in 2015. He then appeared in many films like The Boy Behind the Door, Love, for Real, My Dead Boyfriend and etc. In 2021 he appeared in Netflix’s You series as Ryan Goodwin which is his some projects.
