Shenae Grimes-Beech is a Canadian actress and model. She is known for her work in television series and films. She is well-known for her role as Darcy Edwards in the teen drama television series Degrassi: The Next Generation.

In 2015, she starred in the Hallmark movie Christmas Incorporated. She played the role of Riley Vance. The movie is about Riley, who lands a new job in case of mistaken identity. Her first assignment at her new job is to accompany her new boss on a trip to save a failing toy factory. The movie was directed by Jonathan Wright and written by Brook Durham. Co-stars include Steve Lund, Ron Lea, and Hannah Spear.

She was born on October 24, 1989, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She attended Forest Hill Public School. For her last two years of high school, she attended the private school City Academy. As part of her high school education, she interned at Toronto’s Fashion Television. On May 10, 2013, she married English indie singer Josh Beech. The couple has two children – a daughter born in September 2018, and a son born in August 2021. She holds both American and Canadian citizenship.

She started her acting career by playing the role of Darcy Edwards in the series Degrassi: The Next Generation from 2004 to 2008. She has also appeared in other series like Kevin Hill, Naturally, Sadie, 72 Hours: True Crime, 90210, and Overruled! The Hills, Punk’d America’s Next Top Model, Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model, The Mechanics of Love, iZombie, and The Detail.

She played the role of Briget in the movie The Cross Road. Grimes has also appeared in movies like Dead Like Me: Life After Death, Scream 4, Empire State, Sugar, Blood Honey, and The Rake.
