Teri Polo was born on June 1, 1969 in  Dover, Delaware, United States. She is an American actress who also works for hallmark movie actresses. Theresa Elizabeth Polo is the full name of Teri Polo.

She began her acting career in 1986 in the Television Series Loving and in 1991 in the film Born to Ride. In 2007 she started to work in Hallmark movies Love is a Four Letter Word.

Teri Polo the American actress was born to Vincent Polo and Jane Polo. Her father was a stereo systems designer and she has Italian ancestry from her father side grandfather and also German and English ancestry as well. She has two siblings who are Mike and Steve, her brothers.

She studied ballet for twelve years and was also a dancer in her teens when she was 15 for Delaware Regional Ballet. Teri Polo dropped out of high school when was sixteen and won a local modelling contest for Seventeen Magazine for a blue jean advertisement. She tried modelling and was signed with the Elite petite division.

Later of which she moved to New York City at the age of seventeen in pursuit of acting as her career and started her dreams to come true.

Teri Polo started her debut in the year 1987 in an ABC daytime soap opera Loving as Kristin Larsen. Later that year she was in the short-lived CBS series TV 101 which was a primetime series. She has starred in a 1990 miniseries as Christine Daae named as The Phantom of the Opera, in the last season of Northern Exposure as a regular cast member in the year 1994.

She has also played in the TV series Brimstone as Detective Ash. Teri got in recurring guest roles in the sixth and seventh seasons of The West Wing as Helen Santos, the wife of Democratic presidential candidate Matt Santos who was played by Jimmy Smits.

Teri was featured in InStyle magazine, she starred in Legacy of Fear a Lifetime Movie Network movie in the year 2006, in the Hallmark Channel movie Love is a Four Letter Word in the year 2007, etc… She has worked on many projects and hit the screen with all her passion and hard work.
