Susie Abromeit Biography (Age, Height, Weight, Boyfriend, Family, Career & Hallmark Movies)

Susie Abromeit was born on November 15, 1982, in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. She is a Caucasian composer and actor best known for playing Pam on the Netflix smash TV series “Jessica Jones,” but she is also widely recognized for placing #6 in US junior tennis and #1 in Florida. She has had a lot of minor parts in numerous films and TV series during her acting career, which has been active since 2007.

Susie Abromeit is most known for her breakthrough role in the smash Netflix/Marvel series Jessica Jones, in which she co-starred with Carrie Anne Moss and Krysten Ritter. She was a world-class athlete at the age of 16, when she became a top-ranked tennis player (#6 in the United States), earning a full scholarship to Duke University. During her freshman year, she guided her team to a number-one rating and an NCAA championship before pursuing acting, music, and modeling.

After retiring from tennis, she went on to record a single with Fat Joe for Atlantic Records, and their song “Slow Your Roll” became a summer smash on several Florida radio stations. Several of her other songs, which she sang, wrote, and produced, earned top requests on radio stations around Florida.

She went on to grace the pages of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit while also making her film debut as the lead in Lionsgate’s Know Thy Enemy, portraying a female rapper. Soon after, she started to get parts in films such as Sydney White, Sex Drive, I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell, Setup, in which she co-starred with Bruce Willis, and the box office smashes Battle: Los Angeles.

She has also appeared in episodes of Chicago Med, Devious Maids, One Tree Hill, and Tyler Perry’s The Haves and Have Nots. Among her numerous guest appearances are Legends of Tomorrow, Rake, Code Black, Supernatural, and NCIS. She won Best Actress at the Beverly Hills Film Festival for her performance in the independent movie Diving Normal.

Abromeit is also dedicated to her work as a member of the creative council for the non-partisan group Represent.us, which is backed by Jennifer Lawrence, JJ Abrams, Sia, Amy Adams, and others. She is also an ambassador for Not For Sale, an organization that assists human trafficking survivors.

Early Life, Family, and Relationship

Susie’s father is Richard H. Abromeit and her mother is Lynne (Palmer) Abromeit, and her sibling is also a star – Kate Merrill is Susie’s elder sister and a two-time Emmy-winning reporter who has received worldwide acclaim for her journalistic accomplishments. It is uncertain when and how Susie became interested in what she does now, but it is clear that her interests changed dramatically throughout the course of her development.

She was a top-ranked junior skier until the age of 12, when she had a change of heart and opted to begin tennis lessons. This clearly paid off, as she rose to #6 in US junior tennis while still in high school. This achievement immediately got her a tennis scholarship to the renowned Duke University, but she injured her back when she was 18 and began creating music instead. She later grew interested in acting, and after she finished college, she knew exactly what she wanted to do.

Career, Struggle, Turning Point, and Success

There is no evidence that Susie graduated from college, although she did make her TV screen debut in 2007 as Jenna Reese in a single episode of “Burn Notice.” Following that, she had numerous further supporting parts in succeeding films, as well as a starring role in 2008’s Justin Dec film “Rolling” – this drew the attention she needed for a breakthrough, as she got four more roles the following year.

After another two years and a variety of minor parts in lesser-known titles, she appeared briefly in “CSI: Miami” in 2013 and again in “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” in 2015. She also appeared in an episode of “Supernatural,” and although these appearances may not seem to be significant, they were sufficient to enable her to play Pam in eight episodes of Melissa Rosenberg’s “Jessica Jones” in 2015. She is currently working on two projects that are in post-production.
