After graduation, he worked as an industrial designer for three years while simultaneously learning acting. Later, he quit his job and started modeling. In 2014, James moved to the United States, which proved to be very lucky for him as he won the national Male Model contest. The contest, named The Price is Right, was hosted by Drew Carey.
