Damon Runyan is a Canadian actor, writer, and director known for his roles in movies and television series. He is well-known for his role in the series Degrassi: The Next Generation.

Hallmark Channel hired Damon Runyan for his first Hallmark movie in 2014 for Midnight Masquerade. He worked as supporting artist with popular Hallmark actors Autumn Reeser, Christopher Russell.

On same Years 2014, He worked in ‘One Starry Christmas’ another Hallmark movie as a lead actor.

Later he worked in many Hallmark movies like “Valentine Ever After, Sound of Christmas, Christmas Festival of Ice, Very, Very Valentine, and Mistletoe Over Manhattan.”

Runyan was born on January 1, 1976, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Runyan attended The Lyric School of Acting. He also studied acting at The Second City.

Initially, he started his career as a futures trader. However, he changed his career to pursue acting as a profession.

In 2016, he married actress, Jodie Dowdall. The couple has a daughter together named Ruby Simone.

After graduating from acting school, he landed roles in movies and series. He also gained fame as a director and writer of short films like Fade IN and Triple-A.

Damon Runyan started his career in 2002 with a small role in TV Series – Soul Food. Later continue working in TV series like Queer as Folk, The Newsroom, Kevin Hill etc between 2002 to 2005.

Some of his incredible performances include Out Come the Wolves, The Braid, Christmas in Washington,  Bury the Past, Home Before Dark, A Killer in My Home, The Perfect Cheerleader, My Mother’s Killer Boyfriend, Star Trek: Discovery, Anon, Suits, Frigid, Prisoner Z, Amber Alert, Haven.

Valentine Ever After released in 2016, Runyan played the role of Gavin Stanheight. In 2017, he starred in the Hallmark movie Christmas Festival of Ice. He played the role of Nick Claiborne. The story is about Emma and Nick. Emma is determined to keep her town’s Christmas contest (ice-sculpting) going.

However, Nick, the town’s ace artisan isn’t interested in competing. But eventually agrees when he sees what Emma has accomplished. In the 2014 movie One Starry Christmas, he played the role of Luke.

In the movie Sound of Christmas, he played the role of Travis. The story is about a piano teacher who falls in love with a widower who is responsible for the impending closure of her music school. In 2018, he starred in the movie Very Very Valentine, where he played the role of Charles.
