Reeser was born on September 21, 1980, in La Jolla, California, to Tom and Kim Reeser. During her childhood, she played a wide variety of characters in local musical theatre productions, from the age of seven until seventeen.

She got her graduation from Carlsbad High School in the year 1998. After completing high school she left for Los Angeles and got herself enrolled in UCLA’s competitive theatre program and that’s where she studied theatre history and also acting technique, dance, and voice and movement.
