He is best known internationally for playing Mick Davies in the popular supernatural series Supernatural. He has also appeared in Being Erica, Clean Break, The Call of the Wild, Lykkeland, and Haunted Harmony Mysteries.

Adam grew up in Laytown with his family. His father worked as a recruitment specialist, while his mother was a nurse. From a young age Adam developed an interest in acting and became involved in drama and theatre.

Before becoming a professional actor he spent time performing on stage. His early theatre experience helped him develop the confidence and skills that later supported his television and film career.

Adam attended Clongowes College before studying at University College Dublin. He graduated from the university with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2002. While at university, he was involved with the dramatic society.

After university, Adam continued his acting education at the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, where he studied in 2003. His formal training helped prepare him for a career in theatre, television, and film.
