Early life, Family, and Relationship
Shawn Roberts was born on April 2, 1984, in a tiny village in Ontario, Canada, under the sign of the Ram. He has Canadian citizenship and is of White Caucasian heritage. There are no specifics on Shawn’s parents or any siblings, although he was raised by both of them in Stratford, Ontario, where he resided until the start of his career.
At the age of six, Shawn developed an interest in acting and took part in several school plays and musicals, playing The Wolf in his school’s production of the play “Little Red Riding Hood.” By chance, Shawn’s father’s friend and award-winning screenwriter Robert Forsythe watched the play and was positively surprised by his performance. Shawn never looked back from acting when he began actively engaged in his profession as a kid actor.
Shawn was introduced to a prestigious Toronto agency by Robert Forsythe thanks to his contacts in the Canadian acting community. A few years later, he assisted Shawn in getting an audition for “Emily of New Moon,” which made it simple for Shawn to go into the acting business.

At the age of twelve, Shawn Roberts began his professional acting career. Shawn had access to the greatest talent in the entertainment business by working with a renowned talent agency in Toronto.
In 1997, he made his television debut in two episodes of the Canadian children’s horror program “Goosebumps,” as Brian O’Connor.
Then, with the aid of Robert Forsythe, he was able to get an audition and ultimately a recurring part in the television drama “Emily of New Moon” (1998–2000), which was based on the L.M. Montgomery novel of the same name. He played Teddy Kent, the talented artist, opposite Martha MacIsaac, Stephen McHattie, and Susan Clark.
He said, “I was 12, so I didn’t imagine that auditioning for a TV program actually occurred,” when asked how the procedure went. In television programs including “La Femme Nikita” (1999), “Twice In a Lifetime” (2000), and “Earth: Final Conflict,” he also had smaller parts (2002).
Shawn made his film debut in “Jacob Two Two Meets the Hooded Fang” in 1999, portraying Daniel. The same year, he also played Peter Warner in “Sea People.” He featured in a variety of other films, including “Thralls” (2005), “Jesse Stone: Stone Cold” (2005), “Fallen Angel” (2003), “Going the Distance” (2004), and “We Were the Mulvaneys” (2002). As Tony Ravello, Shawn Roberts co-starred in “Diary of the Dead” with Michelle Morgan and Joshua Close in 2007.
Additionally, he played Kevin, the bullied jock teenager in “I Love You, Beth Cooper” (2009). Then, he was cast with Val Kilmer as the adult Wyatt Earp in the 2012 film “Wyatt Earp’s Revenge” as the youthful Wyatt Earp. Shawn was cast in “Resident Evil: Retribution,” the fifth entry in the Resident Evil series, later in 2012.
Alongside Milla Jovovich and Michelle Rodriguez, he portrayed Albert Wesker, the former CEO of Umbrella Corporation; Shawn returned to the character for “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter” in 2016.
In “Ms. Matched” (2016), he made his Hallmark Channel debut as Ben Reynolds opposite Alexa PenaVega. Later, he played Redford in “A Frosty Affair” and Dexter Durant in “Recipe for Love” (2014) with Danielle Panabaker (2017). “Love Under the Olive Tree” (2020), in which he portrayed Adam Cauldfield, is his most recent Hallmark film.
Shawn Roberts’ performance in “A Little Bit Zombie” earned him the Rising Star Award at the 2012 Canada International Film Festival. Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, and Arnold Schwarzenegger are his biggest acting role models.
In an interview, Shawn said, “I continuously have to pinch myself because this is what I wanted to do since I was six years old; it’s an amazing delight.” It is clear that Shawn is living his dream.
