Whelan has appeared in two Hallmark movies – Valentine’s Again and Romance at Reindeer Lodge. Both movies were released in 2017.

In the movie Valentine’s Again, she played the role of Katherine, an ad executive, who endures the worst Valentine’s Day date of her life. On her walk home, a gypsy weaves a magical spell on her and when she wakes up the next morning, she realizes she is reliving the day until she finds the right man.

In the movie Romance at Reindeer Lodge, she played the role of Molly. The two lead characters in the movie Molly and Jared have both sworn off holiday events. When they find themselves stuck at a Christmas-themed ranch, they have no choice but to allow their cynical hearts to melt.
