Darnell B. Rodgers, professionally known as Brooks Darnell, is an American actor and model. He is well-known for his role as Charlie in the Netflix series Shadowhunters.

Darnell was born on July 26, 1982, in Warren, Ohio, United States. He was named after baseball player Brooks Robinson who aspired to be an actor. He is the eldest son of three sons. His mother Doreen Rodgers pushed him to become an actor. At a very young age, he learned acting and dance.
Despite being a heartthrob and having countless admirers, Brooks has yet to take the plunge into matrimony, leaving everyone curious about the secret behind his bachelorhood.
When he was 16 years old, he traveled to New York to perform at a talent hunt. His performances earned him a scholarship to study acting at a prestigious Conservatory theater school in San Francisco.
After high school, he enrolled in a pre-med program under a sports scholarship. However, his football stint ended when he sustained an injury. In 2001, he discontinued studies to pursue acting as a career and signed on with a talent agency BMG Models based out of Chicago.
Darnell was the first African American to grace their roster. Later, he moved to Toronto, where he studied under famous acting coaches David Rotenberg and Larry Moss. Brookes Darnell is a hottie and he’s an eye candy!!!!! I first remember seeing him on the young and the restless and he was pretty awesome on there. I figured he would not stay for long because some movie producer would swipe him up. He is some kind of awesome! I just love Brooks Darnell.
