Tanner Novlan is a Canadian actor, model, and former athlete. He is well-known for playing the role of Dr. John Finnegan in the American television series The Bold and the Beautiful.

He stepped into the Hallmark world with the film Christmas Class Reunion in 2022. The movie is about high school classmates who reconnect after 15 years at a Christmas reunion. The classmates were once dubbed as the cursed class.

At the reunion, the classmates challenge each other to remember who they were, who they are, and who they want to be.

Novlan was born on April 9, 1986, in Paradise Hill, Saskatchewan, Canada. His father’s name is Doug Novlan and his mother Coresa Novlan is from Sacramento, California.

As a child, Novlan had a special bond with his paternal grandfather Clem Novlan. He has a younger sister and a brother. Novlan grew up on his family farm. He was also very active in sports such as hockey, basketball, and water skiing.

At the age of 18, he moved to the United States, where he worked for a construction company while taking acting classes.

On September 12, 2015 he married actress Kayla Ewell. The couple together has a daughter Poppy Marie Novlan, born on July 16, 2019 and a son Jones, born on June 6, 2022.

Novlan started his career as a model. He has worked with brands like Tommy Hilfiger, and Guess. In 2009, he got his debut film Maneater, a natural horror film. He played the role of Roger Raintree. He also played in the Science Fiction film 1313: Giant Killer Bees! Novlan has also appeared in other films like Flatbush Luck, Fallen Stars, and Ice: The Movie.

Some of his television series appearances include Bones, Parenthood, Rizzoli & Isles, Letterkenny, and Modern Family. From 2016 to 2017, he played the role of Midas in Mohawk Girls. He played the role of Gregory Manes in Roswell New Mexico from 2020 to 2021.

Novlan is well-known for playing the role of Dr. John Finnegan, also known as Finn in the CBS television series The Bold and the Beautiful from 2020 to the present. He has also appeared in the music video Maybe in 2010.

For his role as Jimmy in the comedy-drama film Flatbush Luck, he was nominated for Best Actor at the FilmOut San Diego Awards and at the Hoboken International Film Festival.
