Jill Winternitz was born on October 3, 1986, in Davis, California, USA. She has a loving family with her parents and her sister, Jana Linn Winternitz, who is a producer. Jill’s father is an orthopedic surgeon. She holds dual citizenship, British and American, and follows Christianity.

She completed her schooling at Davis Senior High School. In 2009, she joined the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Acting.

Jill Winternitz stepped into the world of acting in 2007 with the short film The Replacement Child, where she portrayed Lauren Murphy. A few years later, in 2013, she made her big-screen debut in The Sorrows, taking on the role of Alice Drew, and soon after appeared in her first television series Doctor Who.

Her stage career also flourished. In 2017, she starred opposite Adrian Lukis in the UK premiere of Halley Feiffer’s I’m Gonna Pray for You So Hard at the Finborough Theatre, a performance that earned her another nomination for the prestigious Off West End Award. The following year, she made her mark in cinema with her first major film role in the gripping 2018 thriller 10×10, sharing the screen with Luke Evans and Kelly Reilly.
