Early life, Family, and Relationship
Seeley was raised in Toronto and had a passion for acting. He was once a member of the boy band Nu Ground. He was hired for Hal Prince’s revival of Showboat, and he performed in the play for a full year. In 2005, Seeley began working with renowned producer Ray Cham, and the two of them developed the song “Getcha Head in the Game,” which was nominated for a Creative Arts Primetime Emmy in the category of Best Original Music and Lyrics. Amy Paffrath, an actress, and comedian is Seeley’s wife. The couple’s daughter was born in 2019 and is the only kid they have.

Seeley and Ray Cham, a pioneering producer, composed “Getcha Head in the Game” for Disney’s triple platinum High School Musical soundtrack in 2005. As a result, they were nominated for an Emmy in the category of Best Original Music and Lyrics. He also appeared in an audition with Zac Efron for the part of Troy Bolton in the original High School Musical movie. Efron was chosen for the role, and Seeley provided the singing voice for the character, which was later mixed with Efron’s voice.
Additionally, Seeley stepped in for Efron on the North American and Latin American tours of High School Musical: The Concert, performing in 60,000-seat arenas, and he can be heard on both soundtracks and High School Musical on Stage! Efron was unable to join the tour due to a scheduling conflict with the filming of the 2007 Broadway adaptation of the musical Hairspray.
Seeley’s relationship with Disney persisted, and you can hear him as a featured artist on a number of Disney soundtracks and compilation albums, including You, Radio Disney Jams, Disneymania 5, Disneymania 6, Disney Channel Holiday, and Disneymania 5. On the platinum Cheetah Girls 2 album, Drew and Mexican singer Belinda sang the duet “Dance with Me,” which was broadcast on the Disney Channel and Radio Disney.
In Belinda’s video for “Ni Freud ni tu mamá,” Drew made an appearance. Along with Alvin and the group, Drew sang a new version of “Shake Your Groove Thing” on the Chipmunks CD Undeniable from 2008. Seeley co-wrote and produced the music for the movie Fly Kidz and co-starred with Valerie Bertinelli in the Hallmark Channel movie Claire. Additionally, he composed and provided the musical score for the Corbin Bleu and Keke Palmer-led Disney Channel Original Movie Jump In!
Seeley played pop sensation Joey Parker in the movie Another Cinderella Story with Selena Gomez and Jane Lynch. In the movie, Drew composed and sang four songs, and he also recorded music videos for the two variations of his popular song, “New Classic.” Additionally, Seeley played a hotel staff in the Disney Channel Original Film Stuck in the Suburbs.
He played the part of Prince Eric in the Disney Broadway production of The Little Mermaid during the summer of 2009, and he also acted in the horror film The Shortcut. Seeley appeared in the Hallmark Channel television film Freshman Father in June 2010.
