The Story of ‘Twas the Date Before Christmas
Jessie’s family always has a special tradition called the “Chamberlain Family Christmas Olympics.” To stop her family from canceling it, Jessie lies and says she’s bringing a date. She meets Bryan through a dating app, and he agrees to join her for the holiday.
During the celebration, Jessie and Bryan take part in fun activities like searching for the Christmas tree star, a gift-wrapping contest, and a snowball fight. As they spend time together, they start to like each other for real.
But soon, Jessie’s family begins to notice something is off, and Bryan starts to think Jessie might be hiding the real reason she invited him. Jessie now has to juggle her stories and try to keep everything from falling apart while enjoying her time with Bryan.
The Cast of ‘Twas the Date Before Christmas
1 Robert Buckley as Bryan
Robert Earl Buckley is an American actor best known for his roles as Clay Evans on The CW’s teen drama series One Tree Hill and Major Lillywhite on The CW’s comedy-drama series iZombie from 2015 to 2019.
He has also played Kirby Atwood on NBC’s Lipstick Jungle and Major Lillywhite on The CW’s comedy-drama series Lipstick Jungle. On the ABC horror thriller series 666 Park Avenue, Buckley played Brian Leonard.
He started his Hallmark career in 2020 with the romantic drama film Love in Store, directed by Paul Ziller. In the film, he played David, alongside popular actors Carlo Marks, Alexandra Breckenridge, and Lisa Chandler.
The story follows two rival home shopping hosts who are forced to work together while competing for a promotion. As they clash on-screen, they start to develop real feelings off-screen. Read Full Bio
2 Amy Groening as Jessie
Amy Groening is a Canadian actress and producer, well-known for her role as Chicky in the film Bone Cage, and as Charlotte in the television series Reign.
Groening started her career with a small role in the short Cool Guys in 2008. She continued to work in many short films during the beginning of her career.
Hallmark Channel hired Amy Groening for the movie My One & Only in 2019. Which was her first Hallmark movie, where she worked with popular actors Pascale Hutton, Stephen Huszar, and Sam Page.
