Tamera Darvette Mowry-Housley is an American actress, singer, and television personality. She is well-known for her role as a teen, Tamera Campbell in the television series Sister, Sister.

Mowry’s first Hallmark movie was A Christmas Miracle in 2019. She played the role of Emma Sanderson, a single mom looking for a Christmas miracle to write about for a lifestyle magazine.

Her second Hallmark movie was also a Christmas-based movie titled Christmas Comes Twice. She played the role of Cheryl Jenkins, an administrator. She visits her family for Christmas and magically travels five years back for a week she had wished for. It is an opportunity for her to start fresh on her career and love life.

Her mother Darlene Renee Mowry, initially served in the U.S. Army and then later became her children’s manager. She has a twin sister Tia and two younger brothers Tahj Mowry (actor), and Tavior Mowry (musician).

Tamera Mowry-Housley began her acting career alongside her twin sister, Tia Mowry. Her major breakthrough came with the popular sitcom Sister, Sister, which ran from 1994 to 1999 and featured the twins as separated sisters who reunite as teenagers. The show became one of the most memorable sitcoms of the 1990s and earned Tamera several awards and nominations.
