Robert Earl Buckley (born May 2, 1981) is an American actor best known for his roles as Clay Evans on The CW’s teen drama series One Tree Hill and Major Lillywhite on The CW’s comedy-drama series iZombie from 2015 to 2019. He has also played Kirby Atwood on NBC’s Lipstick Jungle and Major Lillywhite on The CW’s comedy-drama series Lipstick Jungle. On the ABC horror thriller series 666 Park Avenue, Buckley played Brian Leonard.

Robert Buckley, Early Life, Family
California’s Los Angeles County is where Buckley was born. He graduated in 2003 with a degree in economics from the University of California, San Diego. In The Price Is Right, Buckley participated as a college student. He relocated back to Los Angeles in order to pursue an acting career after working as an economic consultant for a year.

As Michael Bauer, a series regular in the MyNetworkTV primetime telenovela Fashion House, Buckley made his acting debut in 2006. Then, in the February 2006 horror When a Killer Calls, Buckley made his feature picture debut. He then joined the cast of American Heiress on MyNetworkTV, playing the character of Matthew Wakefield. Buckley appeared as a special guest in a 2007 episode of Ghost Whisperer. He was hired to play the recurring character Kirby Atwood on the NBC comedy-drama series Lipstick Jungle as well in 2007.
The next year, along with Heather Locklear, Buckley agreed to portray surf instructor Kyle Hamilton in the Lifetime movie Flirting with Forty. Later, he co-starred as Nik with Kaley Cuoco, Leighton Meester, and Paul Wesley in the horror-comedy Killer Movie, which had its world debut in April 2008 at the Tribeca Film Festival. The CW said in 2009 that Buckley would play David Besser in a two-episode guest storyline on the comedy-drama series Privileged.
One Tree Hill, a teen drama on The CW, will have Buckley as a series regular, it was revealed in June 2009. He was with One Tree Hill till the conclusion of the series in April 2012 and played the part of sports agent Clay Evans. According to rumors in February 2010, Chris Evans finally won the lead role in Marvel’s Captain America: The First Avenger, despite Buckley’s being in the running.
In the brief-lived horror drama series 666 Park Avenue from 2012 to 2013, Buckley played the struggling writer Brian Leonard who moves into a haunted building with his wife. He was hired for a two-episode guest storyline in season three of the comedy-drama Hart of Dixie on The CW in 2013.
He co-starred in the Veronica Mars online series Play It Again, Dick the following year, featuring Ryan Hansen as the title character. Robert debuted in the 2015 season of The CW’s comedy-drama horror series iZombie as Major Lily White. Lea Michele, Joel McHale, and Buckley were all cast in the debut episode of the Hulu anthology series Dimension 404 in June 2016.
