James Tupper is a Canadian actor who is well-known for his character roles in the ABC television series Men in Trees as Jack Slattery, in the NBC medical drama series Mercy as Dr. Chris Sands, and in ABC’s Revenge as David Clarke.

He has also been in the post-apocalyptic thriller Aftermath on the Space in Canada and the SYFY in the U.S. He has also acted in the famous HBO series Big Little Lies.

James Tupper was born on August 04, 1965, and was born in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. His father James Howard Tupper was an elementary school principal and his mother Katherine Mayfield was a homemaker.

He studied acting at Concordia University, Montreal, and later of which he studied at Rutgers University in New Jersey where he got his master’s degree.

James Tupper has also been Dr. Andrew Perkins who is a trauma counselor in ABC’s Gray’s Anatomy. He appeared in seven episodes in the show’s seventh season and he has also been in ABC’s Revenge from the year of 2011 till its cancellation in the year of 2015.

He was portraying the character of David Clarke and he was the supposedly deceased father of the main character. James’ character has a recurring role for the first three seasons in which he appeared only in flashbacks and videos. Tupper has acted in quite a number of, off-Broadway plays which include, An Actor Prepares and After the Rain.

He co-wrote and appeared in the year 2005 in Loudmouth Soup which is an independent movie that was shot one night with no script and no second takes.
