The Story of Scouting for Christmas

Angela has been very busy since her friendly divorce from Dakota a couple of years ago. Dakota is a paleontologist who was always away on adventures. Now, Angela is a single mom to Brooklyn, a smart and loving 10-year-old girl.

Angela works hard, so it’s tough for her to find time for anything or anyone else. She can barely get Brooklyn to her scout meetings on time, which makes some of the other moms unhappy.

One day, Brooklyn has an idea. She wants William, the owner of her favorite bakery, to cater her scout troop’s fancy holiday party. She asks Angela to help her present the idea to the moms in charge.

Angela agrees, even though she thinks Brooklyn might be trying to set her up with William. As Angela works with William, she enjoys spending time with him but is unsure about starting a new relationship.

Then, Dakota comes back and says he misses Angela. Now, she must decide what is best for Brooklyn and what is best for her heart.

1 Tamera Mowry-Housley as Angela

Tamera Darvette Mowry-Housley is an American actress, singer, and television personality. She is well-known for her role as a teen, Tamera Campbell in the television series Sister, Sister.

Mowry’s first Hallmark movie was A Christmas Miracle in 2019. She played the role of Emma Sanderson, a single mom looking for a Christmas miracle to write about for a lifestyle magazine.

Her second Hallmark movie was also a Christmas-based movie titled Christmas Comes Twice. She played the role of Cheryl Jenkins, an administrator. She visits her family for Christmas and magically travels five years back for a week she had wished for. It is an opportunity for her to start fresh on her career and love life.
