Early life, Family and Relationship
Orlando Bloom was born in Canterbury, Kent, England on January 13 of the year 1977. His father was a legendary political activist who fought for civil rights in South Africa and his mother was born in Kolkata in India to an English family who was residing there during that period. His father Harry Bloom died when he was just four years of age. After his father’s death, Orlando and his sister were brought up by their mother and their family friend Colin Stone.
As Orlando landed in his teens that is when he was thirteen his mother revealed to him that Colin was his biological father due to Harry’s medical condition of Stroke they were unable to conceive with a baby.
Orlando had his schooling in St. Edmund’s School at Canterbury and also struggled in many subjects due to his dyslexic condition and got into arts and also had a thing for pottery, photography and sculpting. He has participated in many school plays and was also active in his local theatre. He was a clay trapper at a pigeon shooting range which was his first job as a teen.
