Story of the Movie Love At the Christmas Contest
A young woman named Angie Waldron (Samantha Cope), is grieving her deceased mother. For as long as she can remember, her favorite part of Christmas has been the lighting of a tree in the town square on Christmas Eve. But on the first Christmas without her mom, Angie doesn’t feel like celebrating.
Angie learns that her mother had always dreamt of winning the annual tree decorating contest. The winner’s tree from the contest will be lit up in the town square. She realizes that the perfect way to honor her mother is to enroll in the Christmas tree decorating contest and win it! When she enrolls in the contest, the last thing she expected happens. Her high school sweetheart David Mitchell (Riss Jirgl) also participates in the contest along with his daughter Gabby Mitchell (Eliza Donaghy). During the contest, Gabby and Angie bond over losing their own mother. Also, old feelings begin to rekindle between Angie and David.
Will Angie win the contest to honor her mother’s memory, while making some new Christmas memories of her own?
