Keke Palmer is an American actress who was born on 26th August 1993, in Harvey, Illinois, USA. Her birth name is Lauren Keyana Keke Palmer. She is not just an actress but also a singer, and television personality.

She was known for acting as lead characters in comedy-drama productions and has received a Primetime Emmy Award, nominations for a Daytime Emmy Award and six NAACP Image Awards, and also a Screen Actors Guild Award.  Palmer was also mentioned in Time magazine’s list of most influential people in the world in 2019.

She made her debut in acting in the project Barbershop 2: Back in Business in 2004. She also appeared in the television movie The Wool Cap in the year 2004 and she had a breakthrough in the drama movie Akeelah and the Bee in the year 2006 and she has progressed as a prominent child actress in Jump In! in the year 2007, Shrink in the year 2009, Madea’s Family Reunion in the year 2006, Shrink in the year 2009, The Longshots in the year 2008. She released her debut album in the year 2007.

Keke Palmer was born on 26th August in a Catholic family and her parents are Lawrence and Sharon who met each other in a drama school both of them were also professional actors before getting a  concrete full-time job.

Keke’s father works for a polyurethane company and her mother works as a high school teacher who works with autistic children. Her father also does volunteering as a Catholic deacon.

Keke Palmer first sang her song in a church but she got more exposure performing on a stage at a Chicago tourist destination. In the year 2002, he auditioned for a stage production of The Lion King at the age of nine.

Keke Palmer’s Success and career

Keke Palmer got her first movie role in Barbershop 2: Back in Business 2004, in which she acted as the niece of the actress and rapper Queen Latifah. In the year 2005 signed a record deal with Atlantic Records.

She was featured in the tv movie Knights of the South Bronx as well in a TV series Second Time Around and ER. In the same year as the previous was starring in the Disney Channel pilot titled Keke and Jamal by the producer Ralph Farquhar though the pilot was never picked up and never aired.

She got her major breakthrough in the movie Akeelah and the Bee in which she played the title role of Akeelah, a bright 11-year-old who comes from a poor neighborhood and participates in the Scripps National Spelling Bee competition.
