Finn was born in Canada yet he has a family with a history of French, German, and Jewish descent. He got graduated from a Catholic school. His father is an aboriginal land claims researcher. Finn’s elder brother is also an actor. His great-great-aunt was a silent film and theatre artist whose name is Rita Jolivet.
Finn apart from acting has a passion and love for music and has a band of his own too. His first on-screen kiss was Millie Bobby Brown, his co-actor who is actually the first lead role in THE STRANGER THINGS. Later rumors were flying over yet they are just as said, rumors. He is not yet committed.

Without even a word it’s inevitable, THE STRANGER THINGS brought the light out of him to the spot. He also has acted in movies like IT and its sequel IT2. Dog Days is another one he has starred with Nina Dobrev and Vanessa Hudgens.
