Elliot was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, whose mother was a teacher and her father was a Graphic Designer. El got her schooling done in Halifax Grammar School and continued there till the 10th grade. He later continued in Queen Elizabeth High School and then he got graduated from Shambhala School in 2005. After this, he moved to Toronto and studied Interact Program at Vaughan Road Academy for 2 years of time.
He also had her close friend and a Canadian actor Mark Rendall in the Academy during her studies. Emma Portner was her spouse to whom he was married on 3rd January 2018 till now and yet filed for a divorce.
