Colin Kelly Jost is the birth name of Colin Jost who is an American comedian, actor, and writer. He is well-known as a writer for SNL aka Saturday Night Live since the year 2005 and also was a co-anchor for Weekend Update starting from 2014 he has also been a co-head writer among the others for the show between the years 2012 till 2015 and later of which he was the show’s head writer among a few of the same kind one of whom is Michael Che at the year of 2017.

Colin Jost was born on 29th June 1982 in Staten Island, New York City, New York, USA. He was raised in Grymes Hill in New York City. His mother Kerry Kelly was in the New York City Fire Department as the chief medical officer whereas his father Daniel A. Jost was a former teacher in the Staten Island Technical High School.

He is the eldest of two brothers.  His brother Casey Jost is a writer and a producer. He is known for his works like Impractical Jokers and also had a part in Staten Island Summer. He is a Roman Catholic and he attended his high school at Manhattan named Regis High School.

In high school, he was the school newspaper Owl’s editor. As for college he went to Havard and graduated with History and literature as a major where he had Russian literature as a focus along with British literature. His senior year focus was on Vladimir Nabokov.

He got graduated cum laude from Havard in the year of 2004. When he was there he acted as the president of the Harvard Lampoon. He also did a college edition of Weakest Link for which he won $5250 and said humbly he didn’t deserve to win. In October 2020, he got married to Scarlett Johansson and was blessed with a child.

Colin Jost’s Success and career

Colin Jost who is known for his work in SNL in the year 1975 is also known for his works in How to Be Single in 2016 & Tom & Jerry: The Movie in 2021. After his graduation, he worked as a reporter and also a copy editor for the Staten Island Advance. He has been hired as a writer for the show Kappa Mikey, a Nickelodeon animated show which was short-lived.
