Davis started his acting career in 2005 by appearing in the episode of Don’t Mess With My Man in the series Noah’s Arc. In the same year, he appeared in the series That’s So Raven in which he played the role of Trevor. Davis’s big break in television was in the series The Game from 2011 to 2012. He played the role of Kwan Kirkland, a quarterback for the San Diego Sabers. His was a recurring role in seasons 4 and 5 of the series. He has appeared in other television series like Switched at Birth, The Client List, Jane the Virgin, Z Nation, Chicago P.D, For the People, and Legacies.
In 2013, he was cast in the ABC medical drama series Grey’s Anatomy. He played the role of Dr. Jason Myers in season 9 of the series.
In 2013, he was cast in the series The Originals. He was one of the main cast members in the series. He played the role of Marcel Gerard, a vampire, and former slave. He was turned into a vampire by his adoptive father and mentor, Klaus. Marcel has a romantic past with Rebekah and Cami. By the end of season 3, he is transformed into an upgraded original vampire with far more power and deadly venom in his fangs. In season 5, he proposes to Rebekah and in Legacies, it is revealed that Marcel and Rebekah are now married. In The Vampire Diaries, Marcel appeared in the episode The Originals in 2013.
In NCIS: New Orleans, he played the recurring role of Quentin Carter in seasons 6 and 7. Quentin Carter, is an anti-social Special Agent, a fixer with a reputation for working alone.
