Story of the Hallmark Movie A Big Fat Family Christmas

Liv Chang (Shannon Chan-Kent) is a photographer at the San Francisco Chronicle. She goes by the name Liv Rose for her social media followers.

Liv Chang lives a low-key life that she believes to be the perfect one. She is a little less Chinese and a little more American. But on the contrary, her family is a bit more loud, proud, and Chinese! Her family is responsible for throwing the most significant holiday party in the neighborhood. Their party is a celebration of both American and Chinese cultures.

At her work, Liv is given the assignment to shoot the Chang family’s annual holiday party. She doesn’t reveal that it is her actual family! She is forced to work with her new co-worker Henry (Shannon Kook) on the assignment.

In a moment of fun, the Chang family loses all the donations from the community. To save her family’s name and tradition, she reaches out to her family for help. During the process, she finds herself and also finds true love!

1 Shannon Chan-Kent as Liv

Shannon Chan-Kent is a Canadian actress, opera singer, and voice-over artist. She is well-known for her role as Silver Spoon in the animated movie/series My Little Pony.

Shannon Xiao Lóng Kook-Chun is a South African actor and voice-over artist. He is well-known for his role as Zane Park in Degrassi: The Next Generation and as Drew Thomas in The Conjuring film series.
