But eventually, he gets into a relationship with Aneesa.
At the beginning of season 3, Paxton and Devi end their relationship and Devi tries everything that she could to get over him but she fails! However, eventually, she gets over him and falls for an Indian teen – Nirdesh ‘Des’. Des’s mother, the friend of Nalini, learns about the struggles that Devi went through and advises her son to end the relationship with Devi. He then avoids Devi and their relationship comes to an end when Devi finds out the real reason. By the end of the series the school’s Principal, Ms. Grubbs reveals to Devi that she got into a special one-year program at Shrubland School in Colorado. She decides to move to Colorado for a year. But she drops the plan to move as she wants to stay with her mother for one more year, scared that she may not have much time left with her as if anything may happen!
