Idris Elba was born in Hackney, London, England, UK on the 6th September of the year 1972. His father was from Sierra Leone and he worked at Ford Dagenham and his mother Eve is from the origin of Ghana and she did clerical duty.
He was the only child, Idrissa Akuna Elba was born and raised in London, England. His father, Winston, is from Sierra Leone and worked at Ford Dagenham; his mother, Eve, is from Ghana and had a clerical duty. He did his schooling in Canning Town where he got his attention on acting in the first part and dropped out of school. He also gained a part in National Youth Music Theatre and he also worked as a tyre fitter and cold call advertising salesman and worked night shifts at Ford Dagenham. With the nickname DJ Big Driis at the age of 19, he began auditioning for television roles in the early twenties.
