In the 2016 sports biopic Chuck, starring Hall as Muhammad Ali, Chuck Wepner, and their 1975 boxing match for the world heavyweight championship are the main characters.

Pooch Hall’s Birth name is Marion H. Hall, Jr. He is a Son of Marion and Cindy Hall, he was raised and went to high school in Brockton, Massachusetts. He was the 1994 Southern New England Golden Gloves champion in boxing. Hall originally started performing with the UMass Dartmouth Theatre Company when he was a student at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
