Early life, family, relationship

On 7 November 1979 Raima Sen was born in Bombay (present-day Mumbai) to Moon Moon Sen and Bharat Mahanayika Dev Barma and the granddaughter of actress Suchitra Sen who is regarded as the ” of Bengali Cinema. Her father Bharat Dev Varma is a member of the royal family of Tripura. She is a great actress and very hard working.

Her real name is Raima Dev Varma, but she famous and popular with the name of Raima Sen. She confesses in an interview that, says while she enjoys Mumbai’s faster pace of life, its gyms, and its nightclubs, she misses her family in Kolkata, her dog, and many more. She debuts with the film Godmother in 1999 which was a huge success. She takes a major break and then she came through her role in the Bengali film Chokher Bali in 2003 with Aishwarya Rai as her co-star. With the blockbuster movie Parineeta in 2005, She rose to fame among the audience and critics alike. Then she appeared in many several Bollywood movies like Dus, Kuch Dil Ne Kaha, 99.9 FM, Yatra, Vodka Diaries, etc. Her many Bengali films are so hit.

A Bengali film ‘Hrid Majharey’ featured her in 2014 based on  William Shakespeare’s work,  and the movie was a tribute to Bard on the 450th birth year. on a film directed she worked. IN Varanasi and Vodka diaries she worked in 2017. She achieved BFJA’s Most promising actress award. She acting in Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, and Malayalam movies as well.
